There is access to an abundance of public footpaths just outside the main gate (an OS map is very useful), one of which leads to the village green with easy access to the village pub (and its excellent Sunday roast) and church. Plus several others of varying length and directions including a 4 mile round trip through neighbouring village Cublington and the excellent Unicorn pub. Ask me for a copy of a local map with several walks marked on it (with pubs midway of course).

Several woodland walks are a few minutes drive including
Stockgrove Park
The Ashridge Estate
and Wendover Woods.
All have cafes and facilities. Wendover Woods hosts a Go Ape high ropes course.

Dunstable Downs is visible from the site and is a 25 min drive. There is a National Trust cafe and car park.

Coombe Hill (near Aylesbury) has stunning views over the vale. No facilities on the hill.

Or you could even book an Alpaca Walk at Abbotts View Alpacas but bear in mind we are usually fully booked 6-8 weeks in advance

There are some excellent walking routes available here: https://www.chilternsaonb.org/explore-enjoy/walks-rides/ridgeway/ridgeway-day-walks.html

You could also drive the route of the Great Train Robbery stopping off at the various points of interest:

We are surrounded by many pretty villages. You could easily spend several days driving around them all. And most have a nice restaurant or pub.
